Just a few minutes’ walk from central Bowness, the house offers easy access to Lake Windermere, local restaurants, and scenic walking trails. Guests can explore Brantfell and Post Knott from the doorstep or take the ferry for bike rides through Claife Heights and beyond. Regular buses from Bowness Bay make it easy to discover the wider Lake District.

The charming village of Bowness-on-Windermere is only a short stroll from the house, offering a wide range of bars, restaurants, and local amenities, as well as direct access to Lake Windermere for a variety of water-based activities and adventures. For those keen to explore the stunning Lakeland scenery, there are scenic walks right from the doorstep, leading to Brantfell and Post Knott, two of the Lake District’s most iconic viewpoints. Cycling enthusiasts can hop on the Lake Windermere ferry and enjoy an array of mountain bike trails through Claife Heights, continuing on to Wray Castle and the picturesque village of Hawkshead.
